Dear Young Professional Leader:
On behalf of Governor Strickland and Development Director Lisa Patt-McDaniel, I
wanted to inform you of an exciting new initiative that will harness our
collective energy and efforts for young talent attraction and retention.
The Ohio Young Talent Network
Advisory Council will work with
state, private, and nonprofit leaders in identifying collaborative
opportunities to keep Ohio attractive for the best and brightest young minds.
Central to our mission at the Ohio Department of
Development is the ability to enhance economic opportunity for all Ohioans. So
why not develop an initiative that will focus on the next generation of
business leaders and workforce? For years, policy experts have touted the
importance of city-based policies that will attract a creative workforce. The
state's approach builds upon the strengths of our communities and the vibrant
organizations that support creative, young talent. By working directly with the
businesses that recruit talent to our state, we can maximize our impact in
creating opportunities for people of all ages. I am hopeful that you will
join us in this effort and apply for a position on The Council.
Here are some quick facts about The Council:
We are currently accepting applications
for The Council. The deadline to apply is July 30 and you can click here for application
information.
If you just simply cannot add one more
activity to your plate, then I invite you to join me as an official Ohio Ambassador - a program that is designed to help Ohioans share what
they love about living and working in Ohio through conversations with friends
from out of state or in discussions with business partners across the world.
Ohio Ambassadors receive communications on a regular basis about exciting
opportunities and announcements in our great state.
You bring a unique vision for our state, and it is your creativity,
determination, and excitement that will keep
Sincerely,
