Mark Hartman is a 1981 Logan High School and 1986 Ohio State University graduate. As a resource manager, he is responsible for fundraising, grant writing, publicity, marketing and promotion of the food bank in Logan.

He joined HAPCAP after losing a grant-funded position as Partnerships for Success coordinator with Hocking County Family and Children First Council. Prior to that, he worked over 11 years at the Logan Daily News, including the last eight as editor.

Hartman co-chaired the successful $69 million Building on Tradition school bond issue campaign, which passed by a 62 percent margin on its first attempt in May 2001. The campaign provided for a new high school, five new elementary schools, improvements to the middle school and new athletic complexes. He also co-chaired the Hocking County Relay for Life cancer fundraiser from 1998 through 2001, and is a past president of Logan Rotary. He currently serves on the United Way of Hocking County Board, Logan-Hocking School District Business Advisory Council, Logan High School Athletic Hall of Fame Selection Committee, Hocking County CIC, and Logan Holl Foundation.

He has one daughter, Meghan, who graduated from New York University in 2009.
