Jerrold L. Hutton is the Dean of Hocking College"s Advanced Energy & Transportation Technologies. He is responsible for overseeing all aspects of this growing division of the college in Nelsonville, Ohio, which includes two Associate degree programs: Advanced Fuels & Fuel Cells and Advanced Fuels and Vehicular Hybrids.

Jerry has had a long and rewarding relationship with the college beginning in 1978 when he began as the Department Director and Instructor in the Automotive Service Management department. He was then promoted to Executive Director of the Vehicular Fuels Institute and later as Director of the college"s International Energy Center, where he worked until 1989.

From 1990 through 2003, Jerry worked in the industry at various companies such as Tren-Fuels, Inc. as Vice President of Engineering and Operations; IMPCO Technologies, Inc. where he worked his way from Regional Sales Manager to Marketing/Sales Manager for Quantum Technologies (a subsidiary of IMPCO) handling their Mexican and South American Divison; and Alternative Fuels Technologies, LLC where he worked as Operations Manager. Jerry also did some personal consulting for the industry through his business, Hutton Consulting and Associates.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Weber University in Ogden, Utah, majoring in Automotive Engineering and Technology and a Master of Education degree from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, majoring in Engineering/Technical Education. He is currently studying for his Doctoral degree from Capella University. He also served as a Munitions Maintenance Specialist in the United States Air Force from 1971 to 1975.

Jerry currently resides in Westerville, Ohio, with his wife, Sherry. He has four grown children, Darcy, Andrew, Rachal, and Alan.
