Position: Small Business Consultant
Dennis Heebink worked in the banking industry for 35 years before beginning a new career as horse
breeder, small business consultant and community supporter. During the last half of his banking career
he owned and managed a small consulting firm that he and his wife Susan founded. It specialized in the
bank trust industry, working primarily with large money center banking institutions. Upon selling their
company, Dennis and Susan moved to Hocking County where Susan’s parents owned land since 1936.
For the better part of two decades the couple traveled every week on business and spent their weekends
in the Hocking Hills. When they moved to Hocking County in 1996 it was important for them to set roots
and become involved in their community.
Currently, Susan is employed in Columbus and volunteers locally as time permits. Dennis devotes his time
assisting his business clients, providing financial and business consulting services, and serving the
community. He serves as Trustee and President of The Washboard Music Festival, Treasurer of Logan
Town Center and member of the Board of Directors of the Hocking Hills Tourism Association, and of the
Logan-Hocking Chamber of Commerce and Community Improvement Corporation. When not involved
with his client and community affairs, Dennis enjoys riding horseback throughout the Hocking Hills.
